Biography:

Adriane Brown spent her public and private company career growing and transforming businesses and people, and she continues to do so. She serves on the Board of Directors of eBay, Axon, and Washington Research Foundation. She chairs the board of directors at Seattle’s Pacific Science Center and is a board member of the International Women’s Forum.

From 2010 through 2017, Adriane served as President and COO at Intellectual Ventures (IV) where she was able to translate her corporate leadership into a private company. With one of the world’s largest patent portfolios as well as capabilities to innovate on demand, the company provided access to powerful tools to enhance competitiveness through access to game changing patents.

Before joining IV, Adriane was President and CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems. Under her management, this strategic business group experienced profitable growth through new products and global expansion. During the five prior years at Honeywell, she led two aerospace businesses.

Adriane spent 19 years at Corning, beginning as a shift supervisor gaining hands on experience in operations. She was appointed and served as Vice President and General Manager of Corning’s Environmental Products Division.

Adriane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and a Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Old Dominion University; and a Master’s degree in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she was a Sloan Fellow.
