Phil Shawe is the Co-founder and CEO of TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language and business services. Since founding the company in 1992, Shawe has overseen its growth into a global enterprise, recognized for excellence in innovation and client service. Under his leadership, TransPerfect has earned numerous accolades, including multiple placements on the Inc. 5000 list, the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, and Entrepreneur’s list of fast-growing companies. It has also been ranked among the largest privately held companies in New York by Crain’s New York Business.

Shawe’s personal achievements include being named Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for New York City and Crain’s New York Business “40 Under 40” honoree. He is committed to fostering diversity in technology as a board member of Girls Who Code and has shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at top universities, including NYU, Columbia, and Yale.

Before establishing TransPerfect, Shawe worked as a Financial Analyst at Chemical Bank and a Global Custody Consultant at Merrill Lynch. He holds an MBA in finance and international business from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BS from the University of Florida, where he triple-majored in finance, marketing, and risk management.
