David Angelo '19 C-Suite Advisor Since 2019
Founder & Chairman | David&Goliath
An American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement Inductee, David has consistently challenged convention by developing highly innovative and effective advertising solutions for a diverse list of marketers. This list includes Coca-Cola, Lexus, Kia Motors, Michelin, Reebok, NFL, Bacardi, Universal Studios, Little Caesars, Jack in the Box, HBO and the California and New York State Lotteries.
In 1999, he founded David&Goliath, an award-winning ad agency built on the belief that he could create a very distinct culture capable of taking on the toughest marketing Goliaths out there. That no matter how big or small, we all have Goliaths that keep us from realizing our true potential. The key is to be inspiring. To be relentless. To inspire people and brands to embrace their challenger spirit and unleash their true potential.
David has garnered more than 500 of the industry’s most prestigious awards, including Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Clios, Effie Awards, LA’s Entrepreneur of the Year, MediaPost’s Automotive Agency of the Year, and Ad Age Small Agency of the Year, and was named one of 4A’s 100 People Who Make Advertising Great and one of LA’s top Power Players by Modern Luxury’s Angeleno Magazine.
In 2016, David founded the global nonprofit Today, I’m Brave, to inspire bravery in all of us so together we can make a bigger difference in the world. Just last year, Today, I’m Brave raised more than $500,000 for its key initiative, the 100Roofs Project. A joint humanitarian partnership with disaster relief organization Heart 9/11 and actors/activists Rosie Perez and Ramon Rodriguez, 100Roofs rebuilt roofs for 116 families in hurricane-stricken Puerto Rico.
Recently, in partnership with the 4A’s, David launched the Conscious Creative Movement, a group of heart-driven creators who believe that purpose-led creativity can bring positive change in the world.
David continues to give back by serving as a guest speaker for the 4A’s, Digiday, ThinkLA, TedX and The One Club. He is also a member of the board of the 4A’s, the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA), the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) and the Kenley Jansen Foundation.
