NetJets Boosts Fleet With Purchase Rights for 20 New Aerion Planes

The private jets go for $120M each.

Supersonic jet manufacturer Aerion has made a major agreement for its AS2 business jets. Private jet firm NetJets, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, has acquired purchase rights for 20 of the new jets.  Each of the planes has a price of $120M and is designed to reach speeds of Mach 1.4. The AS2 can carry eight to 10 people. Production of the new Aerion planes is set to start in 2023 in Florida.
