It is a fall tradition that CSQ embraces philanthropy as its predominant theme. As part of that focus, for the past three years, we have highlighted 100 nonprofit organizations that exemplify the richness of giving and service inherent in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. These include nonprofits and charitable organizations with local headquarters as well as national philanthropies operating thriving chapters in the region. In 2014, we drew an analogy between community and the safety net above which an acrobat performs his daring feats: The effectiveness of that fabric—should the performer fall—depends on the uniform strength of each and every thread. To elaborate on that theme, every edition of CSQ celebrates those dynamic captains of industry who are soaring above the general public by virtue of their accomplishments and entrepreneurial acumen. To add context and proper balance, following are 100 organizations that provide necessary footing that allows society to realize its full potential.
