AppOnboard Secures $20M Investment

Funding will expand Buildbox’s workforce.

Game development software company Buildbox is set to grow after a big series C investment. The company’s parent firm, Los Angeles–based AppOnboard, raised the funds, adding $20M for a total of $54M in capital. Buildbox offers software tools allowing users to build video games without needing to code. AppOnboard, whose founder Jonathan Zweig is a CSQ Visionary alumnus, acquired Buildbox in 2019. According to the company, the funds will help expand the staff and more frequently update the software.
