Peter Diamandis’ XPRIZE Foundation headquarters in Culver City proved an apropos setting for CSQ’s Winter Innovation & Technology Issue Celebration. Diamandis co-hosted the evening, whose guests boasted select members of the XPRIZE Board of Trustees and other business leaders featured in the issue. Attendees included Alex Kazerani and James Segil (EdgeCast Networks Inc.), Adam Fleischman (AdVantage Restaurant Partners), and Brent Bushnell and Eric Gradman (Two Bit Circus) as well as Brent’s father Nolan Bushnell (creator of Atari, Inc.). The event drew the region’s business leaders, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and other high-profile power players in the Southern California innovation and tech space.
Attendees mingled and were treated to behind-the-scenes glimpses of the XPRIZE Foundation corporate offices. Attractions included an interactive XPRIZE Star Trek photo station by Trevor Traynor, arcade games curated by Two Bit Circus, music provided by Platform Media Group, select craft beer by Fireman’s Brew, award-winning wine, and tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie stations by York & 54 Catering. The first 50 guests of the evening received a signed copy of Diamandis’ new book, BOLD: How to Go Big, Create Wealth, and Change the World. One lucky attendee won a drawing for a pair of tickets to the Northern Trust Open Tournament, held Feb. 18-22 at the Riviera Country Club.
